February has been truly beautiful, with awesome snowstorms, ice on the bay, then warm melting spells. At present the bay is wide open and because of that we are seeing eagles in our area daily. I have taken many pictures but these few are the best of them.
This young eagle is enormous! I tried to get closer, but as you can see, he took off.
Doesn't get any better than that!!

How wonderful it must be to live by this wild bay. The sea, the birds, ...I love the light and shades of white and grey of your photos. Wonderful. Is that yellow house yours?
ReplyDeleteThanks Amelie, we love this spot on the beach, but the yellow house is not mine. There is a picture of my house in the post "Like a Silent Prayer", March of 2011. Our house is a work in progress.
ReplyDeleteWow, ShannonAnn, I would be screaming silently in my chest had I been there in person....this is majestically beautiful! xx
ReplyDeleteYou know it Mona!
DeleteI've just had a look at your house (March 2011). Oh I like it! So beautiful. It must be great to sit by these large bow windows in winter, feeling warm and cosy with the light of snow entering the house.
ReplyDeleteAmelie, so glad you like our house. Thanks for taking the time to look at it. Every day there is something new to see out our windows... we are so grateful to have this little spot of paradise.
DeleteHow majestic and rare it is too see such a beast in my neck of the woods. And you and your camera with you? total bonus!!
